I knew I would love Skrillex from the first time I heard "Rock N Roll" (below).
His style is technically dubstep but his style is far more complex, displaying influences from Deadmau5, Justice and Daft Punk. His music has the cut-up digital samples similar to The Avalanches or Pepepiano, but his sound is more raw - and dance-able. It's real digital music that seems to capture the spirit of the Internet age even as you listen to it.
His first EP "My Name is Skrillex" is worth a listen. Get it here.
