I've always felt optimistic about President Obama and I think all the bad press he's getting is really over-the-top and unwarranted. However, the media tide is turning. Mr. Shrum from The Week believes that the Democrats' chances of holding Congress or at least the Senate are actually pretty good. Plus President Obama is done scolding cynical leftists and is back in his element - the campaign trail. President Obama's speech to the young voters of Gen44 was truly stirring and shows that he's still got it. President Obama is just as impatient for change as we are and pushing the Dems out of office will only set back that change. Health care reform, wall street reform, tax cuts for only the middle class, DADT, green jobs and infrastructure bills are all on the line. We're not through the fire yet; midterms are upon us. Young voters, blue-collar voters, progressives, independents, professionals, blacks, Hispanics, white women, gays, the elderly, you name it all need to get out there and vote so that President Obama can finish the job. Support him so that he can make America strong.
UPDATE: Mr. Walt also thinks that President Obama deserves more praise for saving the country from spiraling off into a depression.
